Business and Culture Network

What is the Business and Culture Network?

As a Creative People and Places programme, making partnerships and engaging the community is what we do.

Together with Slough BID and representation from our community voice, we have founded the Business and Culture Network (BCN). It allows businesses of any size to network with others around arts, culture and heritage – and help to develop Slough’s creative future.

Our Consortium includes SEGRO plc, Thames Valley Police, NHS Frimley CCG and Slough Borough Council, but in creating the BCN, we are seeking wider input into shaping the town’s creative future.

Working together we can get more people involved in brilliant art experiences and make our town a better place to work, live and play.

Opportunities for businesses to get involved

Working together

BCN allows you to engage directly with HOME Slough and the communities we work with:

  • Partner with HOME Slough to bring creativity into your business – from art classes at lunchtime to an artist in residence!
  • Sponsor an event or donate products and services in-kind. Raise your business’s profile with local communities.
  • Volunteer at our events – you or your employees can come along, help out and have fun at one of our events.

I’m interested, what do I do next?

Membership is free – just come along to the next BCN Meet Up.

To find out when the next BCN Meet Up is happening, check our News, follow us on our socials or email Claire Giacobbe, our Community Engagement Manager.

Also please contact Claire if you’d like to talk about opportunities to work with HOME Slough.

The possibilities of Art and Business

Our fellow CPPs show what’s possible when art and business come together.

Transported, the CPP for Boston and South Holland in Lincolnshire, worked with FreshLinc and Elsoms Seeds and their staff on a number of projects including a performance piece, photographic exhibition and metalworking workshop. The video explains more about how everyone has benefitted from the partnership.

We are looking for opportunities to develop equally exciting and innovate partnerships in Slough.
