Regional Art: A 60 Second Story from HOME Slough
60 Second Stories is a series of micro-stories produced by all the Creative People and Places (CPP) projects – and that includes HOME Slough!
So we commissioned Resource Productions to work with local young people to create sixty second films exploring what art meant to them and the local community.
Our first story is Regional Art and represents what the arts, and those supporting creativity like HOME Slough, mean to an artist. The film shows keywords encompassed in the hand drawn borders of Slough itself, set upon a background of watercolours in the artist’s favourite colours.
The filmmakers were non-professional artists aged 18 to 25 and created these pieces independently in just a few weeks.
They are on job placements with Resource Productions (as part of the Kickstart Scheme) to learn about the film making industry. In addition to working on the sixty second films, they are involved with the production of a feature film set in Slough, Little English.
James Gough, HOME Slough Programme Lead said:
“It is great to help these young filmmakers in their first steps into the industry and to provide them with the opportunity to work in teams on a live brief. We are delighted with the results and their reflections on the impact of art and culture in Slough.”
There will be more 60 Second Stories from HOME Slough soon.Newer Blog Post Older Blog Post Back to All Posts
