  • HOME Slough is a 3 year programme of creative activities driven by local people. Led by and delivered for local residents, the programme seeks to challenge traditional notions of ‘art and culture’ – who makes it, where it is made and who it is for. We believe that art is for everyone.

  • We work with everyone! Whether you’re a local resident or business, whether you’re an individual or community group, whether you’re from the third, public, private sector please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

  • HOME Slough is funded by the Arts Council, thanks to The National Lottery players as part of their national Creative People and Places programme.

  • HOME Slough’s People and Places Programme is funded from January 2019 – December 2021.

  • HOME Slough is managed by a delivery team including a Programme Director, Programme Manager, Community Development Manager and an Operations Manager. The delivery team are overseen by our accountable body, Slough CVS.

  • The national Creative People and Places programme is aimed at places in parts of the country where involvement in the arts is significantly below the national average. Eligibility is based on the bottom 33% of places according to the Active Lives Survey (November 2015 to May 2017). Slough is x in the country when it comes to the lowest participation in the arts.

  • Yes, there are currently 30 independent programmes across England. From Basildon to Barrow-in-Furness to the Black Country there is plenty going on. To find out more about them head over to the Creative People & Places website.

  • Work is commissioned with local people through the Creative Community network. Creative Connectors are invited to sit on Panels to discuss and select creative projects based on the needs and desires of Slough’s communities.

  • Creative connectors are local people who want to be involved in HOME Slough! Whether that’s hearing about what’s happening at our venue, HOME on the High Street, helping to make it happen or helping choose what happens, our creative connectors are HOME Slough!

  • Yes you can! Signing up is easy, just register to receive our newsletter.

  • As a local artist the local knowledge, creativity and relationships you can bring to the Slough are invaluable.   • HOME Slough Consortium is a group of organisations and businesses with a vested interest in the Borough. HOME Slough Consortium is made up of representatives from the third, public and private sector. HOME Slough Consortium supports the strategic direction, commissioning and delivery of the HOME Slough Creative People and Places programme.
