The Mariner’s Song

Calling all adventurers! WOW! Slough and KinkyFish Theatre invite you to join writer-performer Rajan Sharma for The Mariner’s Song, an award-winning narrative odyssey navigating ancient myth, family history, and life at sea.

Contemplating humanity’s primal connection to oceans, rivers and seas – and our connection to one another – Sharma’s intimate and compelling performance draws upon his visceral first-hand experience crewing on a Deep Sea Challenge, interweaving his grandfather’s timeless wisdom and familiar characters from classical Greek mythology.

The Mariner’s Song has charmed story-telling fans around the world, featuring amongst the 10-Must-See Spoken Word Shows and Three-to-See Poetic Shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2019, and winning a Theatre Weekly Award at FringeWorld 2020, in Perth, Australia.

So whether seasoned sea-dog, or ‘wet behind the ears’, all are welcome aboard; prepare to brave the elements, sail stormy waters, and embark upon a lyrical voyage across the ages… Will you answer the Mariner’s call?

Suitable for adults and children 12+

There will be a post-show Q&A with Rajan.
