Fatherhood
Fatherhood
Being a father in the 21st century is complicated. Being the father of a young son of mixed South Indian, Turkish and Austrian heritage, even more so.
Bringing together physical theatre, multilingual spoken text and sign languages, this dynamic and original new work explores the complexities of fatherhood across generations with humour and sensitivity.
Centred around Shane’s everyday, relatable experiences, it follows the lives and journeys of three very different characters, each representing different aspects of fatherhood and reflecting migrant stories from India, Singapore and Turkey, from the 1960s to the present day.
Suitable for adults.
