Director of HOME Slough CPP is a brand new post created to provide creative and strategic leadership to one of Arts Council’s Creative People and Places projects. The job offers someone immense scope and flexibility in a creative environment, which actively supports innovative thinking about creative engagement in the arts.
The Director is the senior member of staff with a team consisting of Programme Manager, Project Co-ordinator, Community Engagement Co-ordinator and Communications Manager. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering an outstanding programme that strongly engages with the people of Slough, raising the profile of HOME in Slough and beyond and developing a series of strategic partnerships that will sustain the project.
The Director of HOME Slough will work alongside a consortium of Slough-based organisations at a strategic level with Rifco Arts acting as Lead Partner. Membership includes Slough Borough Council, also a funder, (including Slough Libraries), Creative Junction, Aik Saath, SWIPE, Resource Productions and Slough Museum. There are plans to widen consortium membership to better reflect interests and agendas in the town.
HOME Slough has been granted initial funding to 31 December 2018 with the opportunity to extend the project by three years through an application to Arts Council England in 2018.
Contract: Salaried, fixed term to end December 2018 (with potential for renewal), part-time (3 days / week)
